"We should be creating dishes that we love to eat, for eating's sake because when you strip away the theatre food is quite simply something essential"

Eat Mindfully

Anything you can do can be done either mindlessly or mindfully. Let’s look at how to eat with a little more mindfulness.

Grow

How do you go about starting a kitchen garden from scratch? We spoke to Joe to hear more about this unique project and the art of growing your own with a Michelin-star chef watching over your shoulder .

Beyond the plate, into space

Once a matter of necessity within cramped city quarters, the open kitchen has evolved into so much more than a utilisation of space. It extinguishes our fears of hidden rodents and plates drizzled with bin juice and revenge.

Our core is formed from
the environment,
the people and the produce

We're a curious bunch, with open minds and lots (no thousands) of assumptions around food. We're on some sort of food encyclopedia adventure. Our aim is to be an inspirational source for all things food.

We run the magazine out of London and the South of England (find us in The New Forest more often than not). Our contributors are now worldwide and we all have a reluctance to be sat in front of a screen for too long, find us roaming almost anywhere there is something food related on offer.

Editors note

My curiosity and hunger is the reason for this. I was consuming something that tasted great, but I knew little about and where it originated. From this moment onwards Pasture was born, residing in the evolving lifestyle category, with a clear focus on food & drink, acknowledging the wider community on route.

Restaurant critic I am not, and I cannot pretend to know much (apart from the basics and what Master Chef teaches me) yet, but this will be a journey with one aim, to become a platform of food & drink content that enriches our creativity and knowledge of the gastronomic world, told in an honest and real voice.

There is magic out there to find. I hope you come along for the ride.
